What is Phase Diving?
Phase Diving lets you explore an alternate version of K’aresh known as the Untethered Space. In this phase, you can see and interact with hidden enemies, treasures, and quest objectives. Your character takes on an energy form and moves on foot until you unlock the Phase-Lost Slateback mount.
To begin Phase Diving, you must use Phase Diving Conduits scattered across K’aresh. These platforms serve as both entry points and fast-travel nodes once unlocked.
Unlocking Phase Diving
Unlocking Phase Diving is closely tied to obtaining the Reshii Wraps artifact cloak. Follow these steps:
- Start the K’aresh Campaign in Dornogal, Foundation Hall by speaking to Locus-Walker.
- Complete Chapter 3 of the main campaign, including The Tabiqa quest.
- Accept Another World to meet Hashim and Shad’anis.
- Complete The Untethered Void to learn about Conduit platforms.
- Finish What Doesn’t See You to encounter phase-specific creatures.
- Defeat your first phased enemy in The Untethered Horror.
- Complete Wrapped Up to learn cloak upgrades.
The Reshii Wraps Cloak
Reshii Wraps are essential for Phase Diving, granting the ability to see creatures in the Untethered Space. Upgrading the cloak with Orbs of Power unlocks the Phase-Lost Slateback mount.
Phase Diving Weeklies
Weekly quests provide currency and reputation:
- More Than Just a Phase – From Shad’anis, rewards Untethered Coins and K’areshi Trust rep.
- Warrants – From Constable Zo’ardaz, rewards Ethereal Strands for cloak upgrades.
World Quests within the Untethered Space also refresh weekly and require phasing to complete.

There are 15 conduits across K’aresh, each functioning as an entry point and fast-travel node after discovery. Examples include:

Conduits can be bypassed using the Untethered Xy’bucha beverage, and you can exit phasing with a Phase Regulator from Shad’anis.

Untethered Coins, the main currency, are earned primarily through More Than Just a Phase. Rewards from Shad’anis include:
- Mounts: Lavender K’arroc (10 coins), Acidic Void Creeper (7 coins)
- Pets and Cosmetics: Penumbral Terror, Guise of the Phase Diver, Overtuned K’areshi Goggles
- Armor Ensembles: Multiple Untethered-themed sets (5 coins each)
